Booking your Michigan newborn photography session normally gets over shadowed with morning sickness and pregnancy brain. Being a mom myself, I know first hand how incredibly exhausting pregnancy can be. If is is your second, third, or even fourth child its a miracle we can even remember to feed ourselves! The further you get along, the more difficult it is to move around and get things done. Lets face it, that dreaded pregnancy brain it is a thing and it is horrible! I thought it would never happen, but believe me, it totally does!
In between doctors appointments and getting the nursery ready the thought of booking your newborn session should come to mind. Booking your Michigan newborn photography session doesn’t have to be complicated or feel overwhelming. When you have the right newborn photographer that meets all of your needs the process is simple and enjoyable! This is a time in your life where you should be soaking in all life’s tiniest moments. As we all no days turn to years and they really do go by so fast! Before you know it, your tiny baby will be walking, talking, and off to their first day of school in a blink of an eye!
You’ll never regret making the decision to have newborn photos of your newest addition and growing family. You will look back at at your newborn photos from now until forever. I hear it all the time that mom’s regret NOT having that special experience looking back!
Well, absolutely! Booking a Michigan newborn photography session is most ideal when moms enter their second trimesters. There are various reasons I prefer moms to book early and as soon as they know that I am their girl! For one, my calendar fills up rather fast for newborn sessions as I only accept a limited number of newborn due dates per month! Why do you ask?
Well, rumor has it, newborns come on their own time and their own schedules. They are simply unpredictable! This ensures that I am able to accommodate a wide range of due dates within any given month! Another reason is that I truly love to give my family’s a fully unique and customized experience. Through my personalized newborn questionnaire, I am able to plan with you specific colors, themes, and your overall vision you have in mind! By booking in the second trimester, it allows me to order anything that I may need for your session that I may not have in the studio as all my beautiful props, fabrics, and textures are hand made by professional newborn photography prop vendors! I want you to be truly in love with the end product, beautiful newborn art work of your baby!
With your due date tentatively on my calendar, you may wonder what the actual date will be. Typically, your custom newborn session will take place when baby is between 7-10 days old. Mom or dad is typically contact me before they are discharged from the hospital to schedule the final session date. The age for babies is so crucial to getting those beautiful, posed, squishy newborn photos that all parents want and love!
Any time before 7 days old, if mom is breastfeeding, may mean that mom’s milk has not quite come in yet. This can sometimes create a fussy, hungry, cluster feeding baby. However, if baby approaching two weeks and older, I find they become more alert, more difficult to pose. They are also on their way to hitting their first growth spurt and their first “wonder week” milestone leap! Of course, a day or two on either side, is no need for worry!
So, let me create a truly amazing experience for your new growing family to always look back on! Regardless how fast your baby grows, I guarantee you can smell that fresh baby smell every time you look at your newborn photos.
