Being a Lansing Newborn Photographer has been a dream come true. My studio is based in Lansing Michigan, but clients travel to me from all over the state. Getting to work with newborns has been an ultimate passion of mine for many years. I have been focusing on newborns since my career started as a pediatric RN were I was working with very sick babies. That evolved into raising and taking care of two amazing and beautiful girls of my own.

Seeing the absolute joy on my family’s faces after they see their newborn photos is such a rewarding experience. It is something that I know they will remember and cherish forever. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else than to continue working with amazing families and their precious new, growing family!

Working with babies takes incredible patience and requires a gentle touch. There is a method and many safety measures needed to pose newborns in a variety of ways! Many families often tell me how fascinated they are watching my process. They often don’t realize how much time some poses can actually take! I am specifically trained and safety certified in newborn posing by some of the best newborn photographers in the world! I have and continue to take many hands on learning workshops. These workshops grow my expertise and safety in posing your precious little baby.

All of my newborn sessions are uniquely customized for each individual session. My overall style is very simplistic, with natural and muted color tones to keep focus on your sweet, sweet baby. I love to use a variety of textures and coordinating colors to create an overall beautiful, cohesive style. This makes it easy to be able to display your images on your walls.

Being your Lansing Newborn Photographer, I use your favorite colors I design a unique newborn session just for your baby. During our consultation session, you are able to select your specific colors, wraps, and props that you just love. I incorporate your unique style into your session to make it one of a kind.

Posed Newborns

Safety is such a big part of newborn posing! My number one priority is to make your baby safe and as comfortable as possible their session. There are particular poses that baby can not do by themselves. It is important to note, that these poses are then put together as a single image in Photoshop. This makes it look as if baby is doing some of those unique poses themselves.

During your session, I will attempt to progress through my normal flow that I do during every session. However, every baby is different! Not all babies will do every pose and I never force a baby into any poses! Some babies may be okay with one pose, while another baby may not. I let baby lead the way and tell me what they are comfortable with during the session. If for some reason baby does not seem happy during a pose, we will always adjust. We will can move on to the next pose, take a break, and even feed if necessary!
